Its the bane of every dreamy traveller’s life, to be tied down to a nine-to-five job while the whole world is out there tempting them with exotic travels to distant places, learning different cultures and meeting other people.
Well, I still have my daily job (although, while i’m preparing the payroll my mind does wander off and mentally packed my backpack for a trip to somewhere) but got lucky enough that despite working in HR (with my black-rimmed specs espousing company rules & regulations) I do get to work and travel at the same time.
I am currently working 2200meters above sea level in the middle of a mountain range in the Sultanate of Oman, having previously worked in the sunny paradise of Maldives and in the cultural hinterlands of Sri Lanka after eschewing my very proper HR job back in my home country - the Philippines.
Oh well, who said being in HR doesn't have its perks.
